Ground floor: Bedrooms & bathrooms
The bedroom at the south end of the ground floor features two beds, each with a bedside table (2 drawers) made of untreated pine wood and separately functioning LED reading lights. A writing desk and office chair, TV (with SAT-TV, Astra) and an armchair with reading lamp is also included. You can store you belongings in the built-in closet containing a clothes rail with hangers, a shelf and large sliding drawers as well as additional compartments for the deckchairs, children's clothes and extra blankets for chilly nights on the terrace.
There are two bathrobes and additional pillows in the closet as well.
There will be more than enough space for all your belongings in the drawers and on the clothes rail.
The bedroom has two curtained windows (which are quite effective for airing). A silent, remote-controlled air conditioner is regularly maintained, cleaned and disinfected providing you with clean, cool air for the hotter summer nights. The crystal-symbol on the display indicates that the air conditioner is running in cooling mode, and the sun-symbol indicates heating mode.
We recommend setting the cooling mode temperature between 21 °C and 23 °C on lowest or second lowest fan speed and to leave it running during daytime with opened interior doors when it is particularly hot outside, so that the whole house remains pleasantly cool. At night it is not necessary to have the air conditioning running because the bedroom walls hold the temperature quite well. Opening the windows and airing the house in the morning to let in some fresh air before starts getting warmer is also highly recommended.
The attached bathroom can be accessed through the door on the other side of the room. The bathroom has been furnished with a large sink, toilet (toilet paper available for the first days), bathtub, a cabinet with 2 compartments and a drawer, a wooden bench, laundry basket and towel rack. A hairdryer can be found in the drawer of the cabinet. The shower has a low sill, but is large enough that a glass door or curtain be unnecessary.
A soap dispenser is mounted in the shower, filled with a pH- neutral shower gel with a refreshing scent and Aloe Vera shampoo.
The soap dispenser next to the sink is equipped with a pH- and scent-neutral soap.
