Upon entering the house: To the left of the double doors you can see the handmade, U-shaped, Castellano-style kitchen. To the right lies the dining room as well as a cozy sitting area with comfortable wicker chairs and a round, glass-plated table. Behind the left-most wooden door is the laundry room. Next to this stands the fridge, with separate freezer compartments.
The countertops of the kitchen are all made from beautiful granite. The 4-burner gas stove and double basin sink with attached drying surface are all integrated within the granite counter. The dishes (plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, cups, etc.) as well as the kitchen appliances (egg cooker, blender, juicer, electric grill, etc.) can all be found in the upper and lower cabinets. The cooking pots and pans are located in the cabinets directly to the right of the stove. On the left-hand side, cutlery can be found in the upper drawers, with the larger knives, spoons and tongs located within the lower drawers within the cabinet.
The microwave, coffee maker, toaster and kettle are placed on the granite top. The dishwasher, that rinses glasses crystal clear, can be found below the stainless steel draining board of the sink.
Various detergents, brushes and rags and the trash can are situated underneath the sink. Above the sink, an additional lamp with a directly attached switch is installed to the wall unit.
The kitchen is fully equipped, sharp knives in various sizes are available.
The wide solid wood table in the dining room was made by a carpenter from Cómpeta more than 30 years ago. He was the Mayor of Cómpeta and now operates the Bodega Jarel between Canillas de Albaida and Cómpeta. We highly recommend a visit and a wine tasting.
The TV is mounted in the corner above the dining table. You can receive satellite and terrestrial (Spanish) programs.
The seating area consists of 4 comfortable, cushioned wicker chairs surrounding a round wicker table set with a glass plate.

The kitchen can be heated by a convector.
The hot water for the kitchen is heated by a gas-fueled heater. You can regulate the temperature choosing between two positions on the control knob: in summer, we recommend the “small flame”, in winter, the “big flame”.
The gas cylinder for cooking and hot water is outside, on the right side of the passage between Casa Antigua and the utility house. If the gas cylinder is empty, you can easily switch to a full one.
Next to the gas cylinders you will find 2 large waste bins. Please take your garbage with you when driving to the nearby villages or to the coast. You can throw your garbage into the beige garbage cans with the blue covers at the roadside.
The washing machine is adjusted in a box in front of the waste bins. A small tiled shelf far to the left of the machine holds a yellow plastic container with detergent.
Following the path leading past the kitchen, you can see the toilet and an outdoor sink on the right side behind two doors. An outdoor shower is situated behind the kitchen - very popular especially during summer, because you can easily have a quick shower before and after swimming.
At the end you will find the pantry and a second refrigerator without freezing compartments behind a brown iron door. This refrigerator is particularly well suited for cooling beverages in summer. The pantry also holds the laundry racks, the ironing board with iron, rackets with ping-pong balls, dustpan and brush, bucket and floor cloth.
The electrical fuses can be found in the fuse boxes in the storeroom - everything is labeled.
